Say to Pay transforms a routine vending machine interaction into a playful, approachable language-learning moment. Instead of paying with money, users unlock their drink by speaking its name in the drink’s native language. Large touch targets, clear typography, and high-contrast visuals support usability in public spaces, while friendly error recovery makes retries low-stakes and fun. Behind the scenes, speech recognition integrates with a rules engine to flexibly match spoken phrases, increasing forgiveness. The result is both a learning tool and memorable brand storytelling. Rhino and Solidworks allowed for quick prototyping, while Photoshop helped define a clear vision to execute.
